Finn Harps’ Under 15s are on the road again tomorrow (Saturday 11th May) as Paul McBride’s side travels to Cootehill to play Monaghan United - Cavan FP (2pm kick-off). When two sides met just a week ago in Gaoth Dobhair, it was a last minute winner from Republic of Ireland international, Conor Campbell, that clinched all three points for the Donegal outfit in a 2-1 win.
It will be the third match in seven days for McBride’s boys, having lost against Derry City midweek. Reflecting on the Derry result, McBride had few complaints. “Derry were sharper on the night. I know it’s one thing we are disappointed about as a group. With Monaghan’s match coming so soon, we don’t have to wait long to rectify things. We found the going tough against them last week and tomorrow’s match will be no different.”
A number of McBride’s squad played in the National Schools’ final for St. Columba’s School Stranorlar on Wednesday which resulted in a few knocks. Ciarán Dalton and Mark Mbuli were replaced due to injuries in the final but McBride is hopeful they come through to play a part in Saturday’s match. Ben O’Donnell is out for a few weeks due to an arm injury. Saturday’s match has a 2pm kick off at John Sherlock Park’s Astro pitch in Cootehill.
