Harps hoping to secure Sligo result

Finn Harps v Sligo Rovers Sponsored by Arena 7

Finn Harps are back in action after the mid-season break, tomorrow night in Ballybofey in a League of Ireland Premier Division Northwest derby the against Sligo Rovers (kick-off 8.00). Then on Monday night, Ollie Horgan’s outfit hosts Cork City. Harps are bottom of the table, on goal difference, from UCD but the Students have three games in hand.

Harps have just taken a point from two games against Sligo this season. They lost 2-1 to the Bit O’Red at Finn Park at the start of March but came very close to winning at the Showgrounds at the end of April. Sean Boyd gave the visitors the lead just before the break but Sligo secured a share of the spoils with a late penalty.

Ollie Horgan is looking forward to the challenge of getting a result against their Northwest neighbours. “Sligo have had a very good run of results over the last two months. We have a big challenge ahead of us tomorrow night but we’re ready to cut take a cut off it and see where that takes us. We need to start picking up points because are now just 14 games left. UCD are ahead on goal difference but have three games less played so our players know the scale of the challenge that is ahead of them and that starts tomorrow night” Horgan said.

The Finn Harps Club Shop will be open at the Sligo and Cork games and the good news is that the recent sale has been extended with superb offers including €20 off jerseys and 50% off hats and scarves plus other great bargains on older stock.

Supporters are reminded that the Dubai Draw takes place on Monday night at the Cork City game. We ask all supporters to make sure they are in the draw, to make one last push on sales, and make sure to return all tickets in time for Monday's game. Tickets can be purchased online HERE
