Harps Face Drogheda in Playoff First Leg

Harps travel to United Park this evening as they meet Drogheda United in the playoffs for the second successive year.  Harps progressed last year 3-1 on aggregate after surviving a tricky first leg away from home.

Drogheda defeated Cabinteely 5-1 on Friday night with Luke McNally netting a hat trick so the hosts will enter the game in confident mood.

“We know how tough it will be this evening and Drogheda are a good side in good form.  They overcame the long gap between games to get past Cabinteely and have momentum on their side- just like we did in some of our previous playoffs.  We have a number of players with knocks and niggling injuries after a long season but will prepare as best we can for the playoffs with the players we have.”

Harps have no suspensions and Ciaran Gallagher will miss out through injury.  Mark Timlin is doubtful having pulled up in the Waterford game.
