Finn Harps Go Green for Mitocondrial Awareness

Finn Harps were delighted to help raise awareness for the previously unknown condition called Mitocondrial, which sadly baby Beibhínn Hegarty Devine passed away from after 10 month battle, 8 of those in the pediatric intensive care unit Belfast.

Beibhinn's father Kevin, a long term Finn Park regular, contacted the club regarding the "Go Green for Mitocondrial" campaign and Harps were delighted to donate a signed jersey for a raffle to raise funds for research, treatment and a cure. Club members also presented the family with a one off green Finn Harps jersey signed by management and players.

To date there is no cure for this condition which will affect 1 in 5000 children by the age of 10, some with devastating effects. For further information see:
